Family Choice Home Health care is a non-medical home care agency that provides personal care services in the best place possible… the home. We provide certified nursing assistants, geriatric nursing assistants, homemakers and companions all under the auspice of a licensed registered nurse. We also provide respite care for those times you need to get out of the house for a few hours to run errands or when you are taking that much needed vacation for a couple of weeks.

Amenities and Services

  • Certified/Geriatric Nursing Assistant (24 hour live-in available*)
  • Helps the client to maintain good personal hygiene
  • Plans and prepares nutritious meals. Markets when instructed to do so by the nurse
  • Assists the client with transfers and ambulation
  • Assists therapy personnel as needed with rehabilitative processes
  • Encourages the client to become as independent as possible according to the nursing service plan
  • Attempts to promote patient’s mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest
  • Gives simple emotional and psychological support to the client and other members of the household
  • Establishes a relationship with client and family which fosters trust and confidentiality

  • Household budgeting and consumer education
  • Marketing to stretch the dollar and preparation of nutritious and appetizing meals
  • Reminders to maintain diet restriction, medication regimen, and recommended exercises
  • Teaching of home management skills, and encouragement and stimulation of self-help attitudes and behavior
  • Giving emotional support and encouragement during period of loneliness, bereavement, etc.
  • Providing routine housekeeping tasks which are required
  • Caring for clothing, washing, ironing, and mending
